I just got an Xbox 360 off Craigslist, the guy gave me a controller with a round "male" end, instead of a rectangle shaped one. There isnt a port on the Xbox, that is look, that will make the controller usable. Can someone tell me what it goes in? Or if its even been heard of?

Do you think anybody buys Xbox 360s with red rings on eBay for like $30, sends it to Microsoft to fix for free, then sell them for like $100 on eBay again? I don't look any faults with this plan. Is there a limit that Microsoft gives you on how many they will fix?

Open Question: Ways to keep Xbox 360 from overheating?

I have recently gotten 3 red rings on my Xbox, but it has happened 2 times. The first time i fixed it myself by doing the X clamp fix, but this time, I got the mistake code 0110, which means memory overheating or something else besides that. I did not want to fix my Xbox again, kus this time I did not know what to do, so I sent it to Wired Extreme. Like I was asking, how can I keep this problem from happening again? I just moved into a new home, I have a carpet, and it stays about 78 degrees in my room, but I have a open table to keep my Xbox 360 in the open, plus I have a wind tower in my room, and I use that to blow chilly air for my Xbox, but I read that excessive heat up and chilly down cycles that could break, or stress the soldered connection, so is the fan a good idea? I usually just play for 2 hours. I dont have alot of time. but thanks for replying!

I bought a PS3 because I adore their exclusive games like god of war, killzone, and uncharted but the online PSN just doesn't clip it for me. I want to receive an xbox because Xbox Live looks so good and I want to chat with people using stuff like party chat and achievements just seem more fun on the xbox. I don't want to sell my PS3 because I don't want to waste my difficult earned trophies. Can you guys recommend a good decision and please don't turn this into a fanboy war.

Open Question: Xbox 360 To Old Projecter.(sort of old)?

i am a 12 year old and im having a party/sleepover w/ 3 friends. I game on PC but my friends on xbox 360. Anyway my dad has a projecter and a 96in screen. we also have a 37in lcd tv in our home but projecter is better. the projecter has a DVI port(for computer), a S-Video port, a Video port(yellow circle port for like the yellow av cable on 360). What do i do. I use an hdmi to dvi cable. hdmi in xbox 360 aand dvi in projecter? or do i put the yellow av cable in the yellow hole in projecter? the projecter has no hdmi.HEEEELP

Open Question: Do you like to waste hundreds of dollars?

If you do, you should really buy an Xbox 360! The older style that's been around for over 5 years is one of the most unreliable pieces of consumer electronics ever made. If they hadn't established the ORIGINAL Xbox as such a powerhouse, the 360s PATHETIC failure rate--many reliable studies have estimated that # approaching 33%--would've forced Microsoft out of contention in the console war, and damaged their reputation so horribly they'd have been beyond stupid to bother launching another system in the future. Good news though! They solved the problem of the dreaded Red Ring of Death with the new Slim redesign... by removing the f***ing red lights. Even if a Slim fails for the same exact reason as an old Xbox 360, the problem isn't displayed as the RRoD. Thank god Microsoft can finally be free of that damnable 3 year warranty they had to extend to the consumers they screwed rushing a product they knew wasn't ready to the market just to fend off class action suits! How? Cheap legal manuvering! No red lights? No more problem! If you can't tell, I'm a customer who was recently screwed over by Microsoft. I've been fighting them for compensation of some sort after my THIRD failed unit. I've been going back and forth with them through the better business bureau, anyone who is on the fence about buying a 360--contact me and I'll send you every single email that's gone back and forth so you can look what you'll be in for if your console fails and there is even a POSSIBILITY there's wiggle room for Microsoft to worm out of the warranty obligation... in my case, they're playing on a technicality that the console they replaced my SECOND failed unit with continues to be covered by the old unit's warranty. That's right... NEW unit, OLD warranty. Who cares? Even if they're right about the warranty period, do you want a product from a company that leaves you high and dry like that? It's a terrible product, and they should be bending over backwards to make up for it to the consumer. Instead, they're bending many a consumer (like me) over. 3 failed 360s in 4 years... that's a PISS needy track record for something that sets you back 250-300 smackaroonies. You've been warned. They're not terrified of class action suits anymore... we're officially harmless again! PS. Halo may be good, but I promise it's not worth THESE kinds of headaches...

Open Question: Is this possible to do with 2 routers? Please answer?

Alright, when I put my XBOX 360, or even my Laptop downstairs in my basement I receive an extremely weak connection due to the fact my TP-LINK router (which is wired to my desktop) is upstairs, I also have my possess network that I jump onto and have my possess password for it. What I'm wondering is, is it possible to put a new router downstairs without it being hooked up to a computer, have it recognize my network and have it boost the strength of the connection to my XBOX 360/Laptop because it's sending the connection to the other router downstairs and my XBOX 360/Laptop can just read the network of the router right in my basement?

Open Question: XBOX 360 USB Keyboard; How to get the @ key working with an USB Keyboard?
